Olivia Lee is a comedian, actor and also a writer with a string of awards behind her. Often seen staring in her own TV shows which she creates and writes. A regular at the Edinburgh Fringe, Olivia has toured all over the country doing stand up comedy.
Her one woman show exploring toxic femininity toured all over the UK. This was to coincide with the release of her first album featuring comedy mindfulness tracks for Mums ‘Mindful Mum; How Not To Lose Your Total Fuc*ing Sh*t‘. The tour, which is essentially a live version of the album is in the works.
Now a regular on the festival circuit Olivia Lee recently performed at ‘Y-Not Festival’ ‘Victorious’ and also ‘The Cambridge Club’ Festivals.
Early Days:
Her TV break came with, Channel 4’s ‘Balls of Steel’. Here she had a regular slot ‘Prank TV with Miss Lee‘. Off the back of this she also created her own comedy vehicle for Channel 4, ‘Olivia Lee’s Naughty Bits’. This led to her own series; ‘Olivia Lee: Dirty, Sexy, Funny’. It was a showcase for Olivia’s comic characters. The show aired for two seasons on both Comedy Central UK and also in Australia.
The USA comes calling
Olivia Lee was invited to regularly appear on NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show With Jay Leno’. Olivia wrote and provided her own brand of outrageous comedy for the show. That led to truTV giving Olivia her own comedy pilot ‘The Olivia Lee Show’, which Ben Stiller produced with his company Red Hour. She also recently created and starred in her own pilot ‘Make Me A Misogynist’ for which she played a man for Channel 4. As an actress she has appeared in many TV shows.
Her feature script ‘Pardon The Interruption’ just won ‘Best Comedy Screenplay’ at the prestigious ‘Prague Screenplay Awards 2024’. Officially selected for for the ‘New York Script Awards’, ‘International World Film Awards’, ‘Budapest Movie Awards’ and also just got honourable mention at ‘The Los Angeles Film and Script Awards’.
It has just been announced as nominee for ‘Best Screenplay’ at ‘The Rome Prisma Awards’. Her half hour comedy ‘Scapegoat’ is a finalist in the ‘Outstanding Screenplay TV Pilot Awards’.
In 2019 she also finished filming ‘Who’s The Daddy‘ where she had the lead role. She then commenced filming on Series 3 of ‘In The Long Run‘ for SKY.
