James Lang is a prominent figure in rugby having played for Harlequins, currently playing for Edinburgh Rugby and capped at international level for Scotland. He was born in Middlessex but currently stays in the Stockbridge area of Edinburgh.
Initially representing Harlequins at schoolboy level, it would be his playing time at Welsh side, Rygbi Gogledd Cymru where he gained prominence in his rugby career. This saw him hone his skills at number 10.
In 2016, at the age of 22, James Lang returned to the Harlequins academy and subsequently made successful appearances as a fly-half/inside centre for Harlequins first team. He is also known for his strong and accurate kicking.
After a 5 year contract at Harlequins, James would go on to sign for United Rugby Championship side Edinburgh Rugby. Here he also retained his number 10 position.
On the international stage, James Lang began representing Scotland at the U18 level in 2013. However, in 2018, he was also selected as part of the Scottish squad for a summer tour to Canada, the United States, and Argentina. This is where he earned his first senior cap for Scotland.
James Lang’s career has been shaped by dedication, hard work and also the ability to adapt and overcome the continued pressure a high level sporting individual is exposed to. Not only does he thrive in this environment, he does it with humour and candor.
