With a journalism degree from City University London, Afua launched her media career as a Fashion Co-Ordinator before progressing into editorial roles that shaped her journalistic foundation. She gained early experience as Editor of Blackhair Magazine and later served as Features Editor at Pride Magazine. Her editorial career also includes work with The Daily Mail International and Strangers and Candy. Transitioning into broadcasting, Afua took on presenter roles at ABN TV and The Beat London, where she developed and hosted programmes including Young & Rising and Entertainment Weekly.
Currently, she presents for CNBC and Africa Works Media, while also working as a Correspondent for ARISE News. Her deep industry knowledge, combined with versatile media experience, has made her a respected voice in television journalism, especially around African diaspora issues and British social topics.
