Credentials and Impact
Amrita’s journey into medicine was shaped by determination and purpose. After completing a degree in Mathematics with Management Studies at UCL, she pursued medical training and graduated with distinction despite personal health challenges. Completing her GP training proved one of her greatest milestones, strengthening her passion for supporting colleagues and patients through adversity. Her own experiences of navigating invisible disability have given her a unique empathy and understanding of resilience and leadership under pressure.
Further study followed, including a Master’s in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology, which led to her published research on posttraumatic growth. Alongside her clinical career, Amrita has become a trusted executive coach, EMCC Accredited Senior Practitioner, and trustee of the Thomas Wall Trust. Her dual expertise in healthcare and leadership development makes her a sought-after advisor for organisations committed to building compassionate, psychologically safe workplaces.
Amrita has been recognised with numerous awards, including the Diversity Award 2024 from the University of East London Alumni Awards, the SME Greater London Enterprise Award 2024, and the Inspire Established GP Award 2024 from the Royal College of General Practitioners. Previous honours include the Inspire Highly Commended First5 GP Award 2021 and the GP Pulse Unsung Hero Award 2020.
