Naga Munchetty, tv presenter works for the BBC and is currently the main presenter on BBC’s Breakfast. Naga had previously worked as a financial journalist and she used to present Working Lunch on BBC2 along side fellow journalist and business reporter, Declan Curry.
Currently presenting on BBC News, Naga is part of the Breakfast team on BBC1. Her fellow presenters are usually Charlie Stayt, Dan Walker and Sally Nugent.
Her great passions are music and golf which Naga has a handicap of 8. She won the Ladies’ Scratch Club Championship and in 2013 she won Celebrity Mastermind with her knowledge, of the game. Naga scored 12 points on her favourite subject, The Ryder Cup matches from 1979 on. When she has time she still plays piano and will blast out the odd Jazz piece on the trumpet.
In 2016 Naga Munchetty was a contestant on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. She partnered with the Russian professional Latin and ballroom dancer Pasha Kovalev. Pasha is married to “8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown” co-presenter Rachel Riley.
First 10 years.
London’s Evening Standard was one of Naga’s very first journalism jobs in the late 90’s and later she worked on the Business section of The Observer. Television soon came next, with financial reporting for Reuters TV and then producing for Europe’s CNBC. Naga took on reporting for Channel4 before becoming a presenter on Bloomberg TV.
