Bill Barclay began performing in the 1960’s in Edinburgh and hasn’t stopped since! Bill has been a regular contributor to Edinburgh’s premier local commercial radio station, Radio Forth. It was here that he started out as a presenter in 1978. He has toured all over the world with his songs and comedy and has been a huge hit on the Scottish after dinner circuit for many years.
Through the 1970’s Bill Barclay toured solo in Europe, the USA and the Middle East working with the likes of Elton John and Rod Stewart. He still regularly appears at special functions such as Burns suppers in the Far East.
As well as this. Bill still appears on our television screens as everything from hard man to Policeman. He even landed himself a part in a Hollywood blockbuster movie, Gangs Of New York, directed by Martin Scorcese in which Bill plays a gang leader.
