Denise van Outen’s presenting break came with C4’s The Big Breakfast and it has been non stop ever since.
In 2001 she made her London West End debut by playing the part of Roxie in the stage hit musical Chicago, the show took her to Broadway where she had further success. She stared in Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black’s one woman show TELL ME ON A SUNDAY at The Gielgud Theatre. A call from Andrew then resulted in her joining the judging panel of BBC’s Any Dream Will Do and then later, I’d Do Anything.
In 2012 Denise appeared as a contestant on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing going on to be narrowly beaten in the Finals. In 2021 Denise appeared as a contestant on series 13 of ITV’s Dancing on Ice but had to withdraw from the show after suffering three broken bones and a shoulder dislocation.
Denise has been a brand ambassador for Matlan since 2016 and she once appeared in Eastenders. She was also a judge on 2 seasons (2018 & 2019) of Ireland’s Got Talent.
2020 saw Denise appear in ITV’s The Masked Singer. She went under the name Fox and came fifth in the competition.
