Holly Walsh

Holly Walsh is a comedian who has featured on many of the top TV comedy shows. These include 8 Out of 10 Cats, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Would I Lie To You? and Mock The Week, as well as hosting the Channel 4 series, TNT, alongside Jack Whitehall. December 2012 saw Holly appear on Celebrity Mastermind. She came second after BBC Radio2’s Ken Bruce.

On top of this she is often heard on radio and has appeared on shows such as The Unbelievable Truth and The Now Show. She also appeared on Charlie Brooker’s So Wrong It’s Right for Radio 4. As well as these guest appearances, Holly is much in demand as writer for both TV and Radio and has written widely for both.

An acclaimed writer and stand-up comedian, Holly Walsh is an established talent in both fields. In 2012 her sitcom, Dead Boss, co-written with Sharon Horgan aired on BBC3. Her stand-up credentials were established with her 2008 Best Newcomer at the Chortle Awards and confirmed with an Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination three years later for her debut Fringe show, Hollycopter. The show also enjoyed a sell-out run at the Soho Theatre in 2012.

Holly co-wrote, co-created and was executive producer of the BAFTA award winning sitcom on BBC Motherland. Originally launched in 2016 as a pilot, Motherland by 2021 was now in it’s third series.  Holly then wrote and directed The Other One, a BBC comedy series about two sisters who had never met until their father died.  The second series was broadcast in 2022.
