Ian Moore

Ian Moore is a comedian and best selling author who makes chutney. French chutney to be exact as he now lives in France. He used to be a mod and many would say  “he still is” but we are not sure he has a Vespa or a Lambretta.

Mod definition (person of a 60’s subculture characterized by a smart stylish appearance and the riding of motor scooters).

Ian was a regular headliner at London’s Comedy Store but these days he is back in the UK almost weekly. He is a popular comedian for corporate awards and hosting.  Ian Moore comedian is a regular on BBC 5Live’s Fighting Talk and BT Sport’s The Football’s On. Also an occasional co-host and regular guest on TalkSport’s The Warm Up.

As a much sought after comedian, compère and corporate awards host Ian has performed at corporate events ranging from twelve Harley Davidson executives in a hotel suite to hosting a live Q&A in front of 3,500 people at a packed-out Hammersmith Apollo.

Currently Ian Moore comedian splits his time between living in the South of France with his family and jet-setting back and forth on a weekly basis for numerous corporate gigs.  He is one of the most in demand corporate awards hosts and after dinner speakers. Ian is also a best-selling author with his hilarious debut novel published in 2013, “A La Mod” and a follow up novel “C’est Modnifique” published in 2014.

2022 saw Ian’s book published “Death and Croissants“. This is the first of two hilarious murder mystery books. The second book Death and Fromage was released in July the same year.

Ian’s laconic observations on life, from the problems of using the wrong vocabulary in a German Pizza Hut to an almost pathological hatred of most forms of physical exertion, have proved hugely successful with live audiences all over the world from China to the Middle East. However, he hasn’t performed in South America, but feels no reason why they wouldn’t love him there too.

Following a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival where he appeared with Catherine Tate, Ian was one of only seven UK comedians selected to appear at the Montreal’s Just for Laughs comedy festival.

Alongside the likes of Jimmy Carr, Ian performed in the sellout Britcom showcase. He was such a success he subsequently went on to headline the Worldcom show at the festival’s finale.

Ian was also, briefly, the warm up comic for the BBC’s ‘Friday Night with Jonathon Ross’ show. That was until the DAVID BOWIE incident, of which the less said the better. Ian has headlined at The Reading and Leeds music festivals. However, he is too well dressed to consider appearing at Glastonbury.
