Joze Piranian is a speaker on Inclusion and diversity. It took Joze over twenty five years to conquer his fear of speaking. All his life, Joze has suffered from stuttering. In his keynote ‘Overcoming Adversity through the lens of Diversity & Inclusion’, Joze discusses empowerment through self-acceptance. Also the necessity of organizations’ leadership & HR professionals to develop a more nuanced understanding of the diverse challenges that an employee, prospective hire, supplier or client might be facing. Beyond merely labelling, Joze believes D&I is a complex tango, it takes two: the empowerment of the individual and the inclusive acceptance from the other members of the organization.
Prior to embarking on his speaking career, Joze graduated from McGill University with a Bachelors in Organizational Psychology, from Queen’s University with a Master of International Business and from Cornell University with a certificate in Diversity & Inclusion. Joze has since delivered hundreds of stand-up comedy and speaking engagements in three languages (English, French & Spanish) on Inclusion and Resilience at Tesla, Dell, Diageo, Amgen, the HR Leaders Summit & the Hollywood Innovation and Technology Summit. With more than three million views on Goalcast, Joze has also been featured on TEDx, ABC, Forbes, NowThis and CBC.
