James Acaster

James Acaster is a comedian described as one of comedy’s most original voices.  Described as a ‘whimsical master’ who has received acclaim from around the globe. This includes a record breaking 5 consecutive nominations for ‘Best Comedy Show’ at the Edinburgh Fringe.

In 2017 he toured the country with a mind blowing three show trilogy. Recognise, Represent and Reset, James did all three consecutively over three nights in each venue. These three shows and Recap form his Netflix four part series, Repertoire. It was the first of its kind, a stand up mini series with an overarching narrative.

James Acaster (comedian) is the 1st UK comic to shoot more than one Netflix Original special. In 2017 James released his debut book Classic Scrapes which made the Sunday Times bestseller list. His second book “Perfect Sound Whatever” also made the Sunday Times bestseller list in 2019.

In 2019 James Acaster completed a mammoth long tour of his hugely successful show “Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999”. The show ran in the UK but also in Australia and America.

James has two hit podcasts “Off Menu” which he hosts with Ed Gamble, and ‘Perfect Sounds’. Both of these are regulars on the iTunes top 10 List.

That same year also saw James Acaster comedian team up with fellow comedian  Josh Widdicome on the Dave channel’s new panel comedy show, Hypothetical. Featuring top named comedians, James and Josh posed absurd hypothetical situations and scored on how well they handled them.
