Andy Gray is a former footballer, acknowledged as one of the foremost football commentators around. Considered to be the UK’s top football pundit, he is the expert the footballers listen to. He was born in Glasgow and had a passion for football from an early age. Andy played at primary school level, winning the Glasgow Cup. Andy scored the only goal. He was then scouted by Dundee United at the age of 16 whilst playing for Clydebank Strollers and the rest is history.
Andy Gray is a footballer, a former striker for Aston Villa in the 70’s, Everton in the 80’s and Rangers for one season in 1988 when they won the Scottish Premier title. He won 20 Scotland caps where he scored 7 goals.
He retired to take on coaching at Aston Villa but then decided to focus on his TV work. This saw him start as a regular weekly commentator on Sky Sports.
