Anna Morris has been described as the “master of character comedy” by the British Comedy Guide. She was also described the Daily Express as “The most original comedian/actress since Victoria Wood”. Anna is a natural improviser and hilarious host, performing as herself and in character.
She is an award winning comedian, writer and actress who has written and performed a number of critically acclaimed interactive one-woman comedy shows. These include It’s Got to be Perfect, Bitchelors and also Bombastic.
Anna starred in in BBC’s Outnumbered and Count Arthur Strong. She also wrote and starred in two episodes of ITV’s hit comedy entertainment show, Bad Bridesmaid. She is the creator of Georgina’s Wedding Blogs, Beano’s Taylor Tyler and Comic Relief’s Bride Aid.
in 2018 she starred in Channel 4’s improvised sitcom Lee and Dean as Pippa. In April of 2019 a second series was also aired.
Anna has also been making a name for herself as a superb awards host and in 2018 she hosted The Bridal Buyers Awards in her character, Georgina The Bridezilla. Her ability to adapt has allowed her to create a range of bespoke comic personas to suit any event.
2019 saw Anna Morris return to Scotland where she is now in demand as an accomplished Burns Night dinner speaker and host.
Anna is now also a regular speaker at corporate women’s business events. She speaks about her own experiences as a self-made actress and writer.
In 2024 Anna’s Son of a Bitch Play was awarded a Scotsman Fringe First for outstanding new writing.
