Annabel Croft is a former British champion tennis player and a regular face on UK television.
She won the Women’s Tennis Association Tour event known as Virginia Slims of San Diego. Annabel also represented Great Britain in the Federation Cup (now known as the Billie Jean King Cup). Also, she played in the Wightman Cup between Great Britain and the USA.
After retiring from tennis, Annabel Croft turned to television presenting, with such shows as Treasure Hunt and Interceptor. Annabel appeared as a contestant in Celebrity Wrestling in 2005 for ITV and ended up winning it.
More recently in 2023, Annabel found herself on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Her professional dance partner was the South African dance champion Johannes Radebe. Annabel and her dance partner managed a very respectable 4th position with the overall series winner being Corrie’s Ellie Leach.
She is a regular sports presenter and has been seen on the BBC, Sky Sports and also Eurosport. Annabel has also been a regular presenter at Wimbledon on behalf of a number of broadcasters, including the BBC, GMTV and Radio 5 Live.
Annabel Croft was one of five well known faces who took part in the BBC series ‘Famous, Rich and Homeless’. This was a programme about, what it was like to be a down and out in London.
A stunning host for awards and presentations, Annabel Croft is also a superb motivational after dinner speaker.
Annabel Croft now runs her own tennis academy in Roehampton and also in Portugal.
