Bruce Devlin

Bruce Devlin is a comedian, broadcaster, presenter and host. He is a familiar face and voice on TV and often the resident host at The Stand Comedy Club. Bruce makes regular appearances at venues across the UK. He is also often found performing further afield in New York, Dubai and Amsterdam.

As a warm-up performer, Bruce entertained TV audiences at Pinewood Studios in London for Dermot O’Leary’s ‘Small Fortune’, and at the BBC: he warms up the live audience on Rylan Clark-Neal’s ‘Ready, Steady, Cook’ (no ovens involved) which happened after  Rylan was so impressed with the warm ups Bruce did on Rylan’s ‘Supermarket Sweep’. He also works on ‘The Hit List’, with Rochelle and Marvin Humes and with Davina McCall on one of her projects.
On-air and on-screen, Bruce was a contributor for Kaye Adams’ BBC Radio Scotland Show, and Radio Five Live, with Colin Paterson. Together with Lorraine Kelly, he also hosted STV’s Children’s Appeal. He was the roving reporter and co-host of STV’s The Hour with Michelle McManus. Bruce wrote a trilogy of sell-out Edinburgh Festival cabaret shows for Michelle.  Both Bruce and Michelle are now popular joint co-hosts at corporate events.

Apart from Michelle, Bruce has often teamed up at a number of awards events with Judith Ralston from BBC Scotland’s weather.

Prior to Covid Bruce Devlin held a residency at Edinburgh’s Le Monde Hotel, presenting ‘The Best of International Cabaret’ . His ‘Devlin’s Daily’ chat show held a 7-year tenure for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Bruce hosted a number of guest performers from around the globe.

He is a also veteran compere for The Glasgow International Comedy Festival.

A presenter and pundit, Bruce Devlin works on various projects with Scottish television. Most notably the STV appeal which he has co-hosted the live telethon alongside Lorraine Kelly OBE. Bruce has fundraised for the appeal along side John Miche, Pamela Stephenson, Shobna Gulati, to name but a few.

In demand for corporate work, Bruce has proved himself a favourite with his unflappable live presenting style. Nothing can match his rapier wit and attention to detail. For a comedian who travels the world entertaining adults, Bruce is surprisingly a huge hit within the world of kids comedy. An accomplished live, tv and radio interviewer, Bruce will go where others fear to tread with his characteristic, warm humour and wry smile.

Bruce was also the face of Scottish Slimmers when he lost four stone.  He has a great grasp on nutrition fitness and exercise and can be found in his local gym. It was around this time he was invited to host Scottish Slimmers, Slimmer of the year awards. He impressed them so much, he was asked to return and ended up being their go-to-host for corporate events.

Bruce has an encyclopaedic knowledge of pop culture, current events and politics. This keeps Bruce Devlin in constant demand as a radio contributor and host.
