Credentials and Impact
Cassie’s academic journey laid the foundation for her multidisciplinary expertise. She first earned a PhD in Mathematical Statistics from North Carolina State University, followed by a second PhD in Neuroeconomics from Duke University. Early in her career, she served as a Product Manager at the Centre for Cognitive & Social Neuroscience at the University of Chicago, applying quantitative methods to behavioural and neural research. She went on to contribute to global initiatives through her work with the World Economic Forum and the United Nations, expanding her focus to societal and ethical dimensions of technology.
Cassie joined Google soon after, where she spent a decade building the discipline of Decision Intelligence. She advised more than 200 teams on analytics, shaped over 500 initiatives, and trained over 20,000 employees in data-driven decision-making. Her tenure included roles as Statistician, Chief Data Scientist within the Office of the CTO, Technical Director of AI and Data, and ultimately Google’s first-ever Chief Decision Scientist.
Today, Cassie is the CEO of Kozyr and serves on the Innovation Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Her accolades include being named Duke University’s Few-Glasson Distinguished Alumna, a Guest Lecturer at Harvard Business School, and a LinkedIn Top Voice for five consecutive years.
