David Potts was 2024’s winner of ITV’s Celebrity Big Brother.
A former Ibiza holiday rep, David appeared on ITV’s Ibiza Weekender back in 2016 where he was the head representative. Since then, he has appeared on Celebs Go Dating (series 6), Celebs on a Farm and Kavos Weekender. With a peak audience of 3.2 million viewers and just over 2 million watching the final, Celebrity Big Brother has been a huge boost to David Potts’ career.
Big Brother & Celebrity Big Brother:
This was Celebrity Big Brother’s 23rd series but it was a first for ITV. Originally Big Brother started over 20 years ago on Channel 4 the show then moved to Channel 5 in 2011, where it stayed for the next seven years. Audience numbers had fallen and in 2018 Channel 5 announced the end of the show. Now in 2024, ITV took over the Big Brother reins and re-launched the show in 2023. This was where David Potts guested on one of the many spin-off shows, ‘Big Brother Late & Live’. The show was hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best. Later in 2023 the return of Celebrity Big Brother was announced and the show was aired in March 2024.
The television industry have been taking notes on the phenomenal rise and success of David Potts. SpeakOut have no doubt David will be back on our screens in the very near future. David managed to loose 3 stone in weight during his time in the Big Brother house and he’s pretty pleased about that. It’s been announced, he is keen to keep the weight loss going, planning to lose up to another 7 stone. It’s been quite a journey for him but he has huge support from his fan base.
