Ed Balls has a number of tags he can lay claim to. He is now a well known broadcaster and writer with a number of books published. Speaking Out: Lessons in Life and Politics came out in 2016. It was an immediate best seller. More recently, in 2021 he published Appetite: a Memoir in Recipes of Family and Food. It was also a bestseller.

Ed Balls has been a Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer and a Secretary of State. His love of football saw him become Chairman of Norwich City and he is a Professor of Political Economy at London’s King’s College. He showed us his dancing skills on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing where his Gangnam Style certainly raised an eyebrow or two. Ed Ball’s BBC series, ‘Inside the Care Crisis with Ed Balls’ came out in 2021. This was a two part series where Ed explored the current crisis by visiting and working in residential care. Ed Looked into the problems with paid and also unpaid home care workers.
He previously presented a BBC TV series in 2018 Travels in Trumpland where he visited America’s Deep South. He wanted to find out about the people who voted for Trump and learn what won them over. A second series Travels in Euroland with Ed Balls was broadcast in 2020. Ed Balls then presented the BBC series What Britain Buys And Sells In A Day.
Ed was part of the core ITN Election night team in 2017 and 2019. He still broadcasts occasionally on The One Show along with BBC Radio. He is also a regular Presenter on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
