James May is a familiar face on UK television. Apart from being an award winning journalist, he is one of the three former presenters on BBC’s highly successful Top Gear which is one of the BBC’s most successful TV series. These days James, Jeremy and Richard Hammond have a new show on the “other” channel called The Grand Tour.
James has had a number of solo projects from building a LEGO house to making a motorbike out of Meccano. He teamed with wine expert Oz Clarke when they travelled around France in Oz and James’s Big Wine Adventure. Then there was a third series with Oz Clarke called Drink to Britain.
BOOKS:
There have been a number of books released, from his 2008 publication Magnificent Machines: How Men in Sheds Have Changed Our Lives . A book accompanying the tv series Oz and James’s Big Wine Adventure from 2006, to more recent publications like The Reassembler which also accompanies a tv series.
In 2020 James released a recipe book, Oh Cook!: 60 easy recipes that any idiot can make That same year he bought a half share in a pub in Wiltshire. We don’t know if there’s a connection, you’ll just have to go and order up some pub grub.
2022 saw James back on screen with another of his Amazon Prime “Our Man In” tv shows. This time he was travelling all over Italy.
