Jasmine Birtles is a financial journalist. She is unique in that she is able to combine her financial knowledge of business and personal finance with her comedy skills. This can make a usually dull and worrying subject, palatable and fun. She speaks on various financial and business issues. These include personal financial management, setting up and running small businesses and promoting business.
As a keynote speaker on finance, facilitator, host, after dinner speaker and corporate presenter, she has spoken at and hosted conferences for a wide variety of companies and industries including Aegon, BT, IBM, Ernst and Young, Barclays Stockbrokers, Sainsbury’s, Egg and Abbey National.
As an independent financial spokesperson she has helped promote financial services for companies such as The Post Office, Lloyds TSB, the Royal Bank of Scotland. Also price comparison sites, and she co-presents an in house business programme for HSBC.
Jasmine Birtles has set up, and runs, moneymagpie.com, a lifestyle-based money website which has information on all aspects of personal finance, environmental and ethical living and how to run a small business and make extra money.
As a financial journalist she writes for a variety of newspapers and magazines. These include The Independent, The Express and Essentials Magazine. Also, Move or Improve magazine, Glamour Magazine and many others.
She is the author of 38 books and is a regular financial pundit on TV and radio. She has also presented TV programmes specialising in business and personal finance. 
Jasmine has co-presented BBC 1s Homes Under the Hammer, ITV Scotland’s Spend Spend Spend as well as First Time Buyers and Doctor Dosh for UKTV Style. She regularly appears as a financial expert on GMTV, Daily Politics (BBC), This Morning, Sky News and The Wright Stuff.
Jasmine has entertained at corporate dinners and conferences. She has a unique act where she turns up at the event incognito – usually as someone the audience would expect such as a PR girlie, an American Human Resources executive, a Labour MP, a Swedish Head of Marketing or perhaps a leadership guru – and gives a speech that starts off as they would expect but then descends into humour and madness!
