Jimmy Nicholl is a former manager of Raith Rovers Football Club in Fife. That was his second spell at managing the club. Jimmy played his football with Glasgow Rangers and Northern Ireland. With his Nothern Irish accent, he has a wonderful way of relating his many experiences both at club and international level.
Jimmy Nicholl moved to Rangers from Manchester United. He played for Northern Ireland from 1976 to 1986, winning 73 caps in the glory era under Billy Bingham.
As a manager, he led Raith Rovers to a famous victory over Celtic in the final of the 1994-95 Scottish League Cup.
Jimmy Nicholl was until May 2009 assistant manager at Aberdeen Football Club.
In 2010 he moved on to become Manager at Cowdenbeath.
In 2011 Jimmy was then appointed assistant manager of Kilmarnock who went on to win the 2011-12 Scottish League Cup. 2013 then saw Jimmy accept the offer of assistant manager at Hibernian. When manager Pat Fenlon resigned, Jimmy was appointed caretaker manager until a new management team was recruited.
He returned to Cowdenbeath for a second stint in 2013 and later resigned in May 2015.
