Jonathan Pagden is the Voiceologist. You’ve probably heard him on your TV or Radio. He’s been a radio broadcaster, a sound engineer for TV and he’s a musician. Jonathan Pagden has read the news on BBC Radio. He’s also a producer and live presenter but these days he’s a much in demand, Voice of God (VoG).
He announced Elton John when he played Wembley and also, at an event in The Albert Hall, Jonathan announced the Prime Minister.
TV and Radio have used voice overs for many years. They come up in your adverts and announcements. For TV and Radio adverts the voices are pre-recorded but for corporate awards and events they can sometimes be live with the presenter back stage, interfacing with a host who is on stage. This is often used in programmes like Celebrity Come Dancing. Sometimes the voice becomes a celebrity themselves like Alan Dedicoat who was the voice on the National Lottery and a regular on Terry Wogan’s BBC Radio 2 show between 93 and 2015.
Jonathan is happy to work live, either back stage or in front of a live audience.
