Justin Webb is well known as a BBC News presenter. For five years in the mid 90’s Justin presented BBC Breakfast along with both the one o’clock and six o’clock news.
In 1998 he became the BBC’s Europe correspondent. Based in Brussels. He reported on the Gulf War and the war in Bosnia. He covered the collapse of the Soviet Union and also reported on the first democratic elections in South Africa.
Justin held this position for three years, after which he moved to America. Here, he took up position as the BBC’s main Washington correspondent. Sometimes controversial and occasionally finding himself in hot water with the BBC for his personal views, Justin was well thought of and later became the BBC’s North American editor. This was a new position created by the BBC in order to cover the 2008 Presidential Elections.
Justin Webb returned to the UK in 2009 to join the team at Radio 4’s long running current affairs and early morning news programme the Today show.
Justin is now very much in demand as a keynote and engaging, witty after dinner speaker. His topics include world politics, Europe and of course the BBC.
