Luc began his career in research, earning his PhD from the École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications in 1995 before joining SRI International in California. At SRI, he worked at the Speech Technology and Research Laboratory before co-founding the Computer Human Interaction Centre in 1998, where he helped create pioneering innovations such as the first smart car and connected refrigerator—early milestones in what would become the Internet of Things.
Transitioning into leadership roles in industry, Luc became CTO of Orb Networks and later Chief Technologist at Hewlett-Packard, where he advanced connected services and multimedia solutions. His career then expanded into global impact when he joined Samsung Electronics as Vice President of Innovation and CTO, spearheading the development of ARTIK Cloud, a major open data exchange platform that enabled millions of devices to interact through machine learning and analytics.
