Nayha is a Radio and TV presenter and Host from Slough. She is the host of the Official Asian Chart show on the BBC Asian Network. Also, Nayha presents on Sky Arts and Colors TV.
She has hosted at many fashion events and for brands. These include London Fashion Week, The Perfume Awards, Rip The Runway and Cultural Style Week. Alongside event hosting for top tier music artists from the mainstream Asian music scene and live events for children’s charity The NSPCC.
This year Nayha hosted the Dance Inspirations Tour. She hosted the entire Spring tour across the UK including Scotland, Wales and Belfast. Next was the Cultural Style Week where she hosted the main fashion shows in London.
She also hosted the UK Company Culture Awards which recognises organisations that nurture their workforce, reward their staff, and create an environment that proves everyone is valued. There are some photos of these events here on Nayha’s Instagram
Nayha has also worked in recruitment for over 10 years as a managing consultant. This involved sourcing new business and headhunting candidates and placing them in jobs mainly with the sales sector.
Food:
Nayha is also a massive foodie! She can be seen weekly on TV covering a variety of Desi cooking and food from chefs, to Mela’s and festivals on the Sky, Colors TV show ‘Desi Beat’. When she’s not presenting on camera Nayha can be found experimenting in her own kitchen. Here she uses ingredients from around the world to create original new recipes. She also loves getting creative and being really adventurous with different flavours”.
Being in front of the camera is something that Nayha has always been used to. Her start in the fashion industry began as a model with work at wedding fairs, catwalks up and down the country. She was also featuring in industry magazines. Entering into beauty pageants being Miss Indian Worldwide top 10 and as a finalist for Miss Asian Beauty Queen, Nayha has first hand experience of credible fashion show productions.
Fashion runs in the family for Nayha! Her journey began by helping her brother complete his fashion show cat walk project whilst at top fashion school Central St Martins. She loves vintage shopping and regularly shops in Shoreditch and thrift shops. Nayha is creative with her fashion rather than slap bang designer labels and has her own sense of individuality!
On screen, Nayha has hosted a range of interviews across Sky, Sky Arts and online. These include stylists on Skyline to festival fashion at Wireless, V festival, Reading and at London Fashion Week. Also, interviewing celebrities such as Trevor Nelson and Nihal and independent designers such as Oliver Spencer.
