The band of a thousand names….some of them complimentary!
Four/Five guys, with bagpipes and drums, a sense of humour and a pride in their national identity, have taken their unique interpretations of Scottish, contemporary and novelty music to countless thousands around Scotland, England, Ireland, Europe and the U.S. From the bustle of the streets of Glasgow to the plushness of many of the top hotels in the land.
Many other pipes and drums groups have since emerged on the scene, some have even been very successful, However, most based themselves on the originals, The Pokey Hats AKA The Gutty Slippers. A unique, entertaining and energetic addition to any event from the private to the corporate. They have performed at many prestigious venues around the country and still perform outdoors at various arts and music festivals, weather permitting. They have also performed at every five star hotel in Scotland including Gleneagles in Perthshire, The Balmoral in Edinburgh and Cameron House at Loch Lomond.
Often they are a secret who will burst into a function room when guests least expect it. It might only be 15 minutes but it’s 15 minutes of mayhem. They will have guests out of their seats shouting for more. Also, great alternative entertainment for a Burns Supper
