Sir Matthew Pinsent is a Team GB Olympic rower, having won medals at four consecutive Olympic Games, since pairing up with Sir Steve Redgrave in 1991.

- 2 Olympic Golds in the Coxless Fours. First in 2000 with James Cracknell Tim Foster and Steve Redgrave. Secondly, with James Cracknell, Steve Williams and Ed Coode in 2004
- 4 World Championship Golds with Steve Redgrave in 91, 93, 94 and 95 Coxless pairs
- 3 World Championship Golds with James Cracknell in 2001. One in the Coxed pair in 2001. Others in the Coxless pairs of 2001, 2002 and 2003.
- 3 World Championship Golds in the Coxless fours. Two with Steve Redgrave, James Cracknell and Tim Foster in 97 and 98. One in 99 with Steve Redgrave, James Cracknell and Ed Coode.
- 1 Junior World Championship in 88 with Tim Foster in the Coxless pairs.
Matthew retired from competition in 2004 and has become an extremely authoritative and accomplished inspirational, motivational and after dinner speaker. His speeches are always tailored to the client’s brief and audience’s requirements with special emphasis on teamwork, motivation and communication. His description of the dynamics of teamwork in a rowing crew are outstanding and mirror those that businesses aspire to achieve.
Matthew has spoken at corporate events for some of the UK’s most prestigious companies such as Camelot, Marks and Spencer, Procter & Gamble, IBM, Lombard, BT, NatWest, RBS to name a few.
He appeared on Who Do You Think You Are when it was revealed he was a direct descendent of Edward the 1st (Edward Longshanks) who was King of England from 1272 to 1307.
