Susie Wolff is a pioneering former professional racing driver who broke barriers in motorsport and became a symbol of progress for women in the industry. Over a career spanning more than 25 years, she achieved landmark success, including becoming the first woman in 22 years to participate in a Formula One race weekend at the 2014 British Grand Prix. Racing for Mercedes-Benz in DTM and serving as a development and test driver for Williams F1, Susie made history on track before moving into leadership. Today, she continues shaping the sport as Managing Director of the F1 Academy.

After retiring from professional racing in 2015, Susie quickly transitioned into leadership roles that showcased her ability to deliver success beyond the track. In 2016, she co-founded Dare to be Different, a grassroots initiative to inspire and support women entering motorsport, which later merged with the FIA Girls on Track programme, expanding its reach globally.
In 2018, Susie became Team Principal of the Venturi Formula E Team, where she oversaw the team’s most competitive seasons and was later promoted to CEO. Under her guidance, Venturi secured record points finishes and built a reputation for strong technical and strategic leadership. She stepped down in 2022 as the team prepared for its transition to Maserati, having left a legacy of performance excellence and diversity-focused leadership.
Her leadership and advocacy have been widely recognised. In 2017, Susie was awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) for services to women in sport. She has also received the Inspiration Award at the BT Sport Action Woman Awards, as well as honours from Autocar and the Sports Industry Awards for promoting diversity and inclusion. Today, she remains one of the most influential female figures in global motorsport.
