Vivienne Parry is a scientist, moderator, host and a multi award winning writer and broadcaster. A scientist by training, she is a highly credible and sought after film and TV presenter, facilitator and host. Vivienne’s strengths lie in her dynamic hosting style. Her warmth and wit and her exceptional knowledge across medical science, technology and health.
Vivienne Parry works at the highest levels on a national and international stage.
She hosted the G8 Summit and subsequent G7 legacy events on dementia, facilitated the launch of the EC Digital Strategy in Latvia and a major climate change conference for the UN and Dutch Government in 2016. Vivienne also moderated at the World Economic Forum’s event in China in 2017. She has hosted debates and awards for blue chip companies, as well as for a range of other prestigious clients.
She has a whole raft of passions and enthusiasms including innovation which dates from the years she presented BBC TV’s iconic science programme Tomorrow’s World. Continuing to present films, Vivienne has made and presented hundreds of programmes for Radio 4. These include 8 series of ‘Am I Normal’ and 4 series of ‘Inside the Ethics Committee’. She has specialist knowledge in a number of research areas. These include genomics, cancer, fertility, hormones and patient and public involvement in research.
In some of her many other lives, Vivienne has been Vice Chair of Council of UCL and also on the council of the Medical Research Council. She has been a columnist on the Times, Guardian and News of the World and an agony aunt at Good Housekeeping. A part time role as Head of Engagement at Genomics England which is delivering the 100,000 Genomes Project. She has made hundreds of films for the BBC. Her journalist background means she is particularly skilled in bringing life to award and film scripts.
