Gary Neville joined Manchester United in 1991 as a youth player and soon captained the club’s FA Youth Cup-winning side alongside David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, and his brother Phil Neville — a group that would form the backbone of Sir Alex Ferguson’s era of dominance. By 1994, Gary had become first-choice right-back, earning his England debut a year later. Over the next decade, he became one of England’s most reliable defenders, earning 85 caps and representing his country at five major tournaments.
At club level, Gary made more than 600 appearances for Manchester United, winning eight Premier League titles, three FA Cups, two UEFA Champions League medals, and the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup.
